Mazel Tov! Anytime we are invited to capture a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, we do a ‘just for fun’ session, so we get to know everyone better (and, more often than not, it provides pictures for the all-important Mitzvah staple – the “sign in board”). It’s kind of the same mentality as to why we encourage doing an engagement session, except this time, it’s all about a youth growing into adulthood… which is a huge deal in itself, but takes on an even bigger meaning in Jewish culture. Meet Anna! We were very happy to work with Anna and her awesome mom, Wendy, who joined us on the shoot. We were lucky to have Wendy stumble onto us a few years back and has since followed our work, sent more than handful of friends for their kids’ Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, and honestly – has been as great of a supporter as any artist could ask for!! (Also – you may be familiar with Wendy from her Charlotte area parenting courses and the fact she’s one of those people who somehow happens to be 2 degrees of someone you know in the area… so we mean it when we say we lucked out getting to call the Petricoffs part of our family!!) With Anna – the apple landed pretty well near the tree… she’s got a great sense of humor, adventure, kindness, and she managed to put up with us, so that’s always a bonus!! We went to Glencairn gardens in Rock Hill, SC and basically just ran around, had a great time, and put on our own little fashion show (of sorts). We hope you enjoy this beautiful session and can feel the happy buzz that we did making them happen!
