Lindsey and Reid got married on one of the coldest days of the year. There was ice, slush, and general grossness on the grounds. However, what made the day magical was none other than the lovely Lindsey, and her handsome dude Reid. They were fun, hysterical, and they carried a really good group of people with them. We have shot many, many weddings, and we can say with pure confidence that the people you carry around with you (groomsmen, bridesmaids) will make or break your day.
What?!? Yes it’s true. It only takes one really grump bridesmaid to throw off the delicate balance of what is your wedding day. Let’s be real. It’s stressful, no matter how NOT stressed out you try to be, or how laid back you are. So, now that we have that down, we can move on. You will probably be stressed, even if you tried not to show it… at the very least nervous. (And when your wedding day comes, and you are neither of those things, you may carry around a trophy that says WINNER AND CONQUEROR OF ALL THINGS.) Anyway, even if you are already married, you can probably vouch for what I’m saying. Your girls are happy, you will be happy. If your girls are happy and you are not, they will help you through it. If your girls are NOT happy, now you have to worry about that in addition. Hey- things happen, I’m not really judging. Perhaps a pipe burst in her house while she was getting ready with you. As my famous husband likes to say, “You can’t control what happens to you, but you can control your reaction and how you handle it.” Not sure if it’s his quote or if someone even more famous than him said it, but he does like to say it. I know more serious things happen, and in a rare case where it’s warrented, that’s okay. But if it’s because someone brought them the wrong size coffee- it’s going to throw your balance off. Negativity is like a cold- it spreads no matter how many times you wash your hands. So, in the end, just having really, really fun bridesmaids or groomsmen with you will REALLY help. If they’re the kind-a girl that can shrug her shoulders at the small mistake, or pour a mini-bottle in, then we’re all good.
You can SEE the wonderful support they have. It’s awesome. Anyway, enough ramblies from me. Here they are: Lindsey and Reid’s Wedding!!!
